Smoothie

As was mentioned in the film, Cancer Can Be Killed, by changing this one factor in Kerry’s life – creating an alkaline environment, her cancer never came back again. And what we found was that the daily smoothie was the easiest way to convert the body to alkaline.

So, once you have a Nutribullet or my favorite, a Vitamix, you’ll want to start getting your fruits and veggies from somewhere you trust. We get organic at the local farmer’s market with farmers we know and talk to regularly. We also grow what we can in our yard.

I divide the smoothie into 6 areas and make sure I get each represented. How much you put of each is up to your taste, but make sure you don’t skimp on the greens, that’s the major source of the alkalinity.

FRUIT

apple –  every time
banana
orange
When possible:
kiwi
dragonfruit
passionfruit
mango
pineapple
cherries
grapes
date

BERRIES

Berries are low glycemic which is great for cancer patients.
strawberry
blueberry
raspberry
blackberry
mulberry
goji

GREENS

kale
spinach
broccoli
parsley
celery
mint
dandelion greens
beet leaves – every time

I put chard in, but the taste offends some people

ROOTS

carrot
beet
radish
turmeric
ginger

LIQUIDS

1 cup kombucha

½ cup organic kefir

½ cup coconut Water

ice

GOODIES

apricot kernels
(These can be purchased from amazon. Kerry throws a few in each batch. I would not throw any more than 5 in at a time as in large quantities it has some toxicity.)

nuts for protein if desired,
hemp chia
flax seeds ground up.

This should make you 2 days worth of smoothies so you only have to make these a few times a week. But because they are so nutrient dense, you will be surprised at how long it keeps you from being hungry. In addition, since we’ve been doing this, we each have only been sick one time in 18 months!

So find the right balance of ingredients for you, blend it up and be amazed at how much your body loves you for it. There may be a getting used to all the veggies period for a couple weeks . . . mainly some gas, but as your body adjusts, all that should go away.
